how do you do the tile lighting
ummm. Simple scripts. The key is to blacken the color of the tiles.
but how do i do that without making different materials
You can edit color using scripts. Check this: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Material-color.html

oh yes somebody finally notices. it's gonna be a long time cuz i was busy having some very important exams.
